How to contribute to our vision
For our System Integration (SI) Department within the SW Organization, we are looking for a Product Owner to join our growing, dedicated and global Metrics & Tools development team.
In System Integration we fulfill the role of a Solution level System Team in SAFe, which means that we are responsible for the SW test strategy, the enforcement of it, and the creation and maintenance of our CI build- and test environments in which automated tests are executed. We are responsible for the definition, implementation and operation of all Solution level tests. In addition our department holds the responsibility for the overall OT SW solution delivery, including release management and quality assurance functions.
The Metrics & Tools team delivers a set of solutions, that enable to create transparency about general quality and performance related aspects for the whole SW organization. In addition, the tools portfolio enables an efficient distribution of released OT SW contents towards our customers.
- As Product Owner for this team you will closely collaborate with the development team as well as with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
- You will shape the vision for our products and thereby support a number of strategic initiatives in order to become an even more data driven organization, to foster the effective implementation of CICD principles and facilitate a modern release process.
- As part of your key responsibilities you will be supervising and prioritizing the team backlog, shaping the vision, and preparing and maintaining the products’ roadmaps. Establishing an active dialogue with internal customers and other key stakeholders is crucial.
- You will support anchoring the Metrics & Tools portfolio in daily operations across the organization. Communicating about major achievements and updates on the products is an integral part of your role. By collecting and applying feedback to the applications, you ensure continuous improvement, while balancing stakeholder’s perspectives.
As part of your daily business, you will be elaborating stories and support the team to deliver maximum business value. In line with the cadence of SAFe events across the SW organization, you will be participating in team and ART events, like sprint planning and iteration reviews, overall SI PI planning, Inspect & Adapt events as well as iteration and system demos.
What you need to make a difference
- As the ideal candidate, you hold an academic degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar.
- You have substantial experience in working in an industrial Software development organization and for several years, you have actively applied agile software development practices (e.g. SAFe), preferably in a Product Owner (or Product Manager or Scrum Master) role.
- As fully responsible for your teams’ product portfolio and backlog, you are enthusiastic about your products and admire to overcome all kinds of challenges. You know how to plan and implement in an efficient manner and can convert process and user inputs into concrete product requirements. Your ability to present complex relations in a simple way and your creativity are key in helping stakeholders to identify and formulate their needs. You are a structured team player and have great collaboration skills.
- As you will be in constant dialogue with numerous internal customers and other key stakeholders, you have good communication skills, as well as advanced English verbal and written language skills.
